The Tech is in... Russell Weisenbacher grew up in Remsenburg and attended Westhampton Beach High School. After graduating from Emerson College in Boston with a degree in Communications, Russell relocated to the Manorville area and started his computer/technology business, Russ The Computer Guy. Russell has been repairing, installing, and maintaining computers, as well as providing instruction on their use since 1987. Locally, in Quogue, Russell also has been involved, for the past 35 years, with the Quogue Junior Theater Troupe under the direction of Suzanne Prior as their Technical Director. Russell is proud to be a part of the Quogue Library family and looks forward to all the exciting technological challenges and opportunities that await him.

How to use my iPhone- Tips and Tricks

This is a continuation on the popular series about learning to use your iPhone. We will show different tips and tricks for using the iPhone and answer questions. Prerequisites: Open to users of the iPhone only. Bring your questions.

Hello, iPad- Part II
Saturday, January 24 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Fee: $5 out of district

The second part to the very successful iPad class held last year. We will continue to show different tips and tricks for using the iPad and answer questions. Prerequisites: Basic familiarity of using your iPad. Open to users of the iPad only. Bring your questions.

Use Your Mobile Device to Connect to the Library
through OverDrive and Other Methods

Saturday, February 28 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Fee: $5 out of district

This class is designed for those who own mobile devices that connect to the Internet and wish to access their library accounts online. We will be demonstrating the OverDrive app that is specifically made for this purpose, as well as, we will explore other avenues to access your library account (web browsers, mobile web browsers, etc).

Prerequisites: This class is open to all. Bring your questions and bring your device so we can help you connect.

Internet Safety
Saturday, March 21 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Fee: $5 out of district

This is one of our most popular presentations and in light of recent data breaches and identity theft information in the news, this presentation is more timely than ever. This information seminar (lecture/presentation) will provide participants with information to help avoid the many scams, frauds, and cheats out on the Internet. Additionally, participants will learn about viruses/malware; how to protect against infections; and more. This is a lecture/presentation. Participants will not be using lab computers.

Prerequisites: None. Bring your questions
