Dear Quogue Library Patrons,

This past year has been another exceptional one for the Quogue Library. We reached nearly all our goals and set the bar higher for 2025.

 

Donations to the Quogue Library Society help us undertake capital projects, library programs and services not normally met by public funding.

 

January through October Highlights

• Enhanced Collections:

  • Based on the results of our survey, we increased our adult book and large print collections.

 

• Community Outreach:

  • The First Annual Summer Kickoff in July, 2023 was sponsored by the Quogue Library Society and we had 510 attendees. Our Second, held on July 6, 2024 had 949.

 

• Youth Services:

  • The Summer Reading Challenge increased from 600 books read in 2023 to 1077.

  • Youth Services Programs attendance increased from 3,069 attendees in 2023 to 4,081 so far this year.

  • Teen Room usage increased by 58% compared to last year.

• Adult Programs:

  • The Art Gallery Reception attendance increased by 78% compared to last year.

  • Foreign Policy Association programs attendance increased by 34% compared to last year.

  • Summer Author Series, Cooking and Floral Arranging classes attendance increased by 79%.

 

• Tech:

  • Tech Appointments increased by 82% compared to last year.

  • Tech Program attendance increased by 24% compared to last year.

  • We continue to add to our oral history recordings, Tides of Time: Memories and Voices of Quogue in collaboration with the Quogue Historical Society.

 

• Grounds:

  • We completed the privacy border on the northeast corner of the library by adding native trees and shrubs.
